Since HL2 is almost done, if not done, I've made a list of CO-OP games which we can play whenever we get the chance.

After we finish one game, people can propose a game and after we get 4 options to choose from we can make a poll to see what to play next. That way we can check both how many people are interested in playing something and what game we will play.

So after HL2 is finished what do you guys want to play? ;)

Having very little experience in coop gaming, I have doubts that games with branchy campaign and RPG elements, like Borderlands, could be easy and quick to play coop. Anyway, will try.

Update: I have Seriuous Sam 2 after all.

I've been too tired the past two weeks to play and/or we didn't have enough players to make it worthwhile.

Out of that list the top 3 I'd like to play are:

Here some of my thoughts:
Serious Sam HD: The First Encounter

Nope, The Second Encounter is where it's at.


Serious Sam 2
Also a lot of fun, not as good coop as SS:SE though.


Serious Sam 3: BFE
I never really like this one. It was too gritty for my taste. I like the cartoony/arcade style of the first 3 games better.


Left4Dead 2
This is one of the best coop shooters ever made. But it's also very gruesome. I think it's even classified 18+?


Black Mesa CO-OP
Remake of the original Half-Life with the more up-to-date Source 2 engine. Half-Life still is a lot of fun to play, but coop wise I think Half-Life 2 is better.


Killing Floor
Meh, don't like this game.

Civilization V
Love this game. Love playing it coop. But I think it requires too much of a time investment for us to play it once a week. For those interested, we could try the email server function it has to everybody can just complete a move whenever they have time. Let me know if you are interested.


Contagion
Meh, don't like this game.


Torchlight

Torchlight 2
I like both Torchlight games. Never knew part 1 has coop. I don't like playing it coop as much as other games, but it's still fun to play.

System Shock 2
Never cared much for System Shock.


Orcs Must Die! Unchained
Love Orcs Must Die single player. Don't care too much for coop.


Borderlands

Borderlands 2
The love child of FPS and RPG is still one of the most fun coop shooters to date. However I think this also requires too much of an investment time wise for us to play once a week.


Painkiller Hell & Damnation
No. Just no.


Bulletstorm
I've been meaning to play this game. It's on my list, I just never got around to it. From what I know about this game it's a fast paced shooter with crazy finishing moves.


Sanctum

Sanctum 2
The idea behind this game is very good. It's execution not so much. It's essentially tower defense meets FPS. If you like slow paced FPS action and mediocre tower defense, this is the game for you ;)

Ok so next time we play coop let's play Serious Sam HD: The Second Encounter. I'll repurpose the current HL2 coop thread as "official" coop thread for our somewhat weekly coop sessions :)
