Hey Guys.

What was the very first video game you ever played?

My first was Sonic the Hedgehog on Sega... I loved it :D. I think I still have the sega console and games XD

Mine was Duck Hunt / Super Mario. They came on the same game on the NES console. Ah... I miss those days...

Some obscure space shooter on Amiga...
Then a little closer to home submarine on Atari 2600. First console we owned was NES with The Legend of Zelda. And first PC game was Scorched Earth, it's kinda like worms... and it has mouse support :D

So many memories. Rise of the Triad, Warcraft II, Doom and Quake on PC. Metroid, Zelda 1 and 2, Rush 'n Attack, Battle Toads, Megaman 1 2 3, Double Dragon 1 and 2 on NES. Later on Super Metroid on SNES -- best game ever -- and so many others. It's making me sentimental ;)

I was about three years old when my dad got a ZX Spectrum (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sinclair_ZX_Spectrum) and one of the games we played on it was Jet Set Willy (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-MJQ7p3BkG8). Also there was Chucky Egg (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5KtHO3BUkCI)... yeah...

*ahem*
That's: CHUCKIE EGG
*runs from angry woman*

ZX Spectrum, that beast has enough computing power to get a rocket to the moon. Although you could do that and then some on a current day wrist watch. In fact, even my mouse has more computing power then the Apollo Guidance Computer. It's awesome how obsolete old hardware has become over the years :D

NES
CPU: 1.79 MHz.
Memory: 2KB RAM

Zx Spectrum
CPU: 3.5 MHz. +
Memory: 16 to 128KB RAM

Apollo Guidance Computer
CPU: 2 MHz
Memory: 16-bit wordlength, 2048 words RAM (magnetic core memory), 36,864 words ROM (core rope memory)

Ah yes, how could I forget?

It has a 32-bit ARM processor equivalent to a 75MHz Pentium. That should get me at least to another galaxy if I hooked it up to a rocket ;)

I think the first videogame i played was Japanese baseball on the NES. If not then it was WCW vs NWO revenge on the N64.(I still have it :D)
