Hello there.
All of sudden i'm now having " Connection Lost Timed Out" when i try to connect to TFC server. When opening dynmap. the map loads really fast, and players on it are seem to be active, and chatting too. There seems to be no problem with the server, just the connectivity issue.

Im not sure if im getting time outs because there something placed in my last spot where i logged off, or there something in that area affecting my connectivity, or its either the server IP filter that might be preventing me to able to connect to TFC.

Last night i changed my launcher to 1.8.8 to try out vanilla minecraft server which I never played vanilla minecraft before so i wanted to see how different its. I did change it back to 1.7.10 today so i could play on TFC again.

Thanks for reading,

Vikusha.

As far as I know there isn't currently any issue with the server's connectivity. Check to make sure you have enough bandwidth available to our server. You can do this by going to http://speedtest.net and selecting Amsterdam as the server location to test against. To play TFC without any hiccups you'll need at least 1 mbit upload and 5 mbit download, preferably less than 100ms latency and no packet loss.

If that checks out make sure you're not on wifi and don't have anything running in the background that used bandwidth. Obvious culprits are torrent clients, news group downloads, Steam updates, Windows updates, house mates doing whatever online, etc.

High latency and low upload is what's killing the connection for you. Like RX suggested, try using a network cable instead of wifi. If that's not an option try using a wifi analyser app to see if your wireless network is using the most optimal channel for your situation. Switching to a channel that nobody else is using can increase your wireless bandwidth considerably.

Alternatively you could perhaps, temporarily, change the wifi password to make sure your neighbours aren't eating up all your bandwidth?

I was considering changing to cables. Myky said Wifi are not that perfect and its best to use cable.

As for changing password, i cant change the password.... because the neighbor pay half or idk how much for the internet too. My mom owns the internet, so it was her decision to share. :)

i seem unable to log in."Connection lost Timed Out"

Myky thinks it s a broken chunk. Yolo says he is able to teleport to that chunk and move out of it without any problem.

-3698 , 65, 25559 the outpost area i was last in.

Solved. :D

Glad to hear you're able to play now :)

What was the solution to the last piece of the puzzle?

I went to profile and instead of release 1.7.10 , i put forge 1.7.10 , and that fixed for me.
