  • V.I.P. Vanilla server and public Snapshot server updated to 1.9.4



    Our plain vanilla servers have been updated to Minecraft 1.9.4. You can find server details for our Vanilla and Snapshot servers on our server page. This new version comes with the following changelog:
    FEATURES
    • Added & changed some minor things
    • Improved chunk cache performance
    • Decreased memory usage for biome caching
    • Re-added, then removed Herobrine


    BUGFIXES
    • Fixed a memory leak in pathfinding
    • Fixed pathfinding performance issues introduced in 15w49a
    • Fixed entity collision causing excessive lag
    • Fixed a performance issue in chunk generation
    • Fixed some wasteful code for navigation listeners
    • Fixed ArmorStand collision code being wasteful
    • Fixed Zombie pathfinding to unreachable targets causing server lag
    • Fixed some erroneous skin part display logic
    • Fixed a crash when trading too many items at once
    • Fixed the sound engine pitch algorithm not working properly



    1.9.4 is, from what I've heard, also going to be the version the Forge guys have been waiting for. The new Forge was already finished for 1.9.2 but they wanted to wait because 1.9.2 still had some issues and the changes in Forge between 1.9.0 and 1.9.2 were very minor. Also this way mod authors don't have to deal with migrating their mods from 1.9.0 to 1.9.2 and then again to 1.9.4. This could possibly be the next big Minecraft version for mods. So expect a lot of the bigger mods to finally move from 1.8.9 to 1.9.4 in the somewhat near future. Who knows, once Buildcraft is on 1.9.4 we might see an AMP light pack
