[ARK] Theft and Griefing

Basic Server rules
These apply to all servers unless specified otherwise.
Respect staff and other players
Bad language, swearing, cursing: NOT allowed
Stealing: NOT allowed
PVP: Only allowed if all parties agree to it. Use chat to make this clear (logs).
Grief: NOT allowed
Asking for stuff/OP/mod/TP/items/materials/etc: NOT allowed
Don't argue with the staff on the server. If you want to make your case, use the forum.


Ark: Suvival Evolved server specific rules
No player harassment, play nice.
No base wiping, bust in get what you want and leave.
Tribes may only have a maximum of 4 rafts.
Bases on mountain tops or in caves are fair game.


Joined the server because of the above rules, but someone seems to have kept entering our house, stealing loads of our kibble and gear off of one of our logged out tribe members. Only noticed within the last hour. Was looking to play ARK casually with friends, disappointing losing out to a naked man running around trying to take our stuff.

Few questions. your post lacks a lot of information, please elaborate.

Which server?

How many time has this occurred?

is your base open or was a door open?

Are your doors locked? Are you building out of stone or above structure tiers? Do you have base defenses like turrets or species X plants? Are you using vaults to store your valuables? Does your base have multiple levels of structural defense (like 2+ walls)?

Your post wasn't very descriptive on how the suspect is getting into your base. We do have rules about repetitive raiding (harassment), but if you leave your valuables in the open for anyone to take it's hard to police that. The server is PvPvE which means PvP is in there, so you also have to take those extra precautions to ensure your safety and the safety of your dinos/items. Do you know the name of the person doing this? Tribe log evidence? Etc?

Since we were just starting out on the server and I was not used to the mods, it seems our door was placed unlocked since after finding out our things were stolen, we checked it and it was unlocked. After finding out about it and locking it, even after an hour or so passed we had placed some of our dinos on aggressive and Deez Nutz was killed attempting to get into our base yet again, having had to come multiple times before to collect loads of kibble and loot our tribe member's body.

Locking the doors should resolve the issue, even so you should consider the steps I listed above for preventative/defensive measures. For the record (for my use) the player was Squaxel (Deez Nuts).

Some of these defenses take time to build. The easiest to do (and one of the most effective) is to create a large border wall out of stone behemoth gates. Having a perimeter wall of stone behemoth gates is a big deterrent and helps keeps your dinos safe from onlookers and aggressive wild dinos. Just be sure to build them out of Structure + Stone Behemoths so you can pick them back up and place them again if needed.

He built a nearby hut in order to rob from us. Is this allowed and what is the appropriate response?

He raided us again, he is repeatedly stealing practically everything we had. Destroying almost everything in our base and several of our dinos. While trying to get into our base and killing our dinos, he even lead them to a nearby base, causing them to destroy part of it while he was fighting them. He took everything on our bodies and left us almost dead to mock us. This is clearly harassment at this point. He did all of this while we were all offline.

I agree. Squaxel (Deez Nuts) has been banned for player harassment.

I've reimbursed two of your lost dinos. A level 300 ptera with 38 levels of experience to use and a 210 sarco with 38 levels as well. You appear to be afk in game, I've placed them right in front of your character as claimable dinos.
