Ooops..... I think I crashed the nether

So I made a gate....and I think it spawned at the bottom of the map...under lava.

Can't tell because it keeps crashing now.

I knew it was going to be a cruel map when I found diamonds before iron

edit: not crashed, but certainly broken

ANd it's a game issue, not a server issue, so don't get too cozy

well, if it is a corrupted chunk, you are a darn lucky person, else you are in a bad case. I Acually recently made a offline tp plugin that could be used to tp you awy from a corrupted chunk, if we have to move you from the nether I think we shouldhave a bit more difficulty becose my plugin is not crossworld (for now because Idk exactly how minecraft handles the different players.dat in the different worlds) so I would suggest to make a copy of all player.datin nether, reset the nether, go in there put the player.dat where they belong and then offline tp them with my plugin to a safe pos. I sent the plugin to ethe and J so I done my part of the solution for now

If it really is a case of a corrupted chunk causing the server to crash: could one of the admins please stop the server, delete the world, start the server again?

It's the Snapshot server so don't worry about the world being too much. It's deleted with each new snapshot anyway

Well its still pretty buggy, I made nether portal and still looks like a massive stripmine, even numbered chunks in the N/S direction are missing and only have a bedrock ceiling and floor.
    Guess the worldgen is bugged.

Yeah, it's a problem with minecraft and the new way it generates worlds. It also occurs with The End.
